Management Accountant m/w/d

Location: Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of 3-4 accountants
  • Overseeing accounting procedures and supervising accounting staff
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Preparing financial reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
  • Carry out day-to-day operations in all areas of accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, payments, fixed asset accounting, etc.)
  • Coordinating financial operations
  • Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud
  • Collaborate with an executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a companys ledger
  • Analyzing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning
  • Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards
  • Cooperation with internal and external partners (insurance companies, customers, tax advisors, auditors)
  • Contact person for managers and employees for all matters arising in the area of activity

Needed qualifications

  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Degree as Certified Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
  • Familiar with German GAAP and the preparation of Financial statements according to HGB
  • Experienced contact person in all areas of finance
  • Secure knowledge of German tax law, especially VAT and CIT, experience with TP models application.
  • Basic Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
  • Experience in team management is an advantage
  • Experience in international environment is a benefit
  • Excellent ERP user and administration skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Very good logical and networked thinking

  • Willingness to work more than 40 hours during closing times
