Position Overview:

As the Vice President of Solution Engineering, you will be a key resilient member of our executive team, responsible for leading and inspiring a high-performing team of solution engineers. You will be at the forefront of our customer engagement strategy, working collaboratively with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to deliver compelling technical solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of solution engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
    • Drive the professional development of team members, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  2. Solution Engineering Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the overall solution engineering strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  3. Customer Engagement:
    • Act as a strategic technical advisor to customers, understanding their unique challenges and aligning our solutions to address their specific business requirements.
    • Ensure the successful delivery of pre-sales and post-sales technical support, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Technical Expertise:
    • Possess an in-depth understanding of the latest Data Stack technologies and trends, staying abreast of industry developments.
    • Collaborate with the Product team to provide valuable insights for product roadmap enhancements.
  5. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment between Solution Engineering, Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams.
    • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading solution engineering teams in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
  • Building and maintaining successful enterprise relationships
  • Pre sales experience
  • Track record of growing sales through customer success
  • Experience in helping customers solve complex challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the solution engineering and across functions including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, and Product Development
  • Extensive technical knowledge about the modern Data Stack Environment and integration options.
