Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounting procedures and supervising accounting staff
- Preparation and monitoring of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Preparing financial reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
- Carry out day-to-day operations in all areas of accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, payments, fixed asset accounting, etc.)
- Coordinating financial operations
- Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud
- Collaborate with an executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a companys ledger
- Analyzing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning
- Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards
- Cooperation with internal and external partners (insurance companies, customers, tax advisors, auditors)
- Contact person for managers and employees for all matters arising in the area of activity
Needed qualifications
- 2+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Degree as Certified Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Familiar with German GAAP and the preparation of Financial statements according to HGB
- Experienced contact person in all areas of finance
- Secure knowledge of German tax law, especially VAT and CIT, experience with TP models application.
- Basic Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
- Experience in team management is an advantage
- Experience in international environment is a benefit
- Excellent ERP user and administration skills
- Fluent in English
