Are you looking for a role with autonomy, where you continuously learn and where you can let your technical abilities flourish? Do you want to solve real life business critical problems? Well I may have the perfect blend of position for you. . .
I am working with a privately-held Global software company, who offer the security of a corporate employer yet also have the playfulness and flexibility of a start-up. If you can make it through the interview process (I can’t lie, it’s thorough) you will be rewarded by joining a world-class team in a company that not only supports, but encourages technical creativity.
This role will see you lead and support customer implementations both onsite and remotely. You will be involved in a variety of tasks including “proofs of concept” for new projects, knowledge transfer and mentoring to supporting existing customer applications, as well as general technical consulting activity.
So now I’ve teased you with what’s on offer we can go into more detail about what we need from you in order to be successful – first up on the list is key criteria, including technical aptitude, self-motivation, inquisitiveness and experience. Then we have the schooling and it’s all about the level, ideally a masters or PhD in a STEM subject, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics would set you up to be noticed by this eagle eyed hiring team. Their eyes are peeled for the next over achiever to join the team, be it a grade 8 pianist or a polyglot who just can’t satisfy that need to learn. Self-motivated progression is a key identifier of fit for these guys, so be sure to highlight it.
In your career so far, you will have solved hard data problems working with object-oriented languages such as Java or C++, and it is expected that you can describe this work in varying detail to both users and stakeholders. Along with exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases you will also have knowledge of software analysis, design methods and SDLC. As well as experience in development of the operability and interoperability dimensions of software applications. And as if that’s not enough, working knowledge and/ or exposure to Cloud Technologies will be a great help in making sure your application gets through.
You like the company.
You like the job.
You have the skills and experience.
You have a willingness to travel
So what next?
